Assessment and certification
Please read these notes very carefully so that you are quite clear about the basis of assessment.
- Assessment on the Cambridge Certificate Course is continuous. Teaching skills are of the greatest importance but all aspects of performance and work done on the course are taken into consideration, including the candidate's punctuality, professionalism, written work, and potential as a member of staff in an EFL context.
- Candidates are informed of their progress during the course by written commentary on their teaching practice and by tutorial.
- Candidates who successfully complete the course will be awarded the Cambridge Certificate. Certificates arrive at the school eight to twelve weeks after the course. The grades are Pass A, Pass B, or Pass.
- BKC-IH Moscow Teacher Training Centre issues a certificate-report to all candidates the week following the course. In certain cases a letter of attendance will be issued instead of a report.
All tutors working on a course collaborate on the internal assessment. Decisions are unanimous and must be agreed with the external assessor.
BKC-International House Moscow Teacher Training cannot enter into either discussion or correspondence concerning results or assessments.
BKC-International House Moscow reserves the right to cancel the course in case of circumstances beyond our control. In case of cancellation BKC- International House returns all payments in full.
Course fees include the Cambridge registration and tuition fees.
If transferred to our bank account in England, all the bank's fees are the candidate's responsibility:

The deadline for payment the full fee is 4 weeks before the start of the course, regardless of the means of payment.
Other services at BKC-IH Moscow
If you need our assistance with accommodation we can offer you a bedroom for about 600 Roubles per day in a shared flat with another trainee or a teacher; visa support starting with $70 for a one-month single entry visa, there is a scale of prices for urgent visas. The consular fee is paid on top of this. Transfer from the airport is $62.
