Here what the part of the application form for CELTA on bkc’s site says at the beginning:

“PRE-INTERVIEW TASK
Please complete this task carefully as it is one of the factors we take into consideration when making a decision about your application. You should refer to a grammar book e.g. “Grammar for English Language Teachers by Martin Parrott” or “Practical English Usage by Michael Swan”
And it ends:
“I confirm that I completed this form on my own and I did/did not refer to a grammar book in completing this task”
My question is: What causes the discrimination of such reputable authors as Martin Parrott and Michael Swan if their works are not actually considered to be “grammar books”?
