Hi, I have 2 years teaching experience of all age levels in Japan but I don't have any formal teaching qualifications. Do I need to obtain these before thinking about a job in Russia? Also, to apply for a visa, do I need to be in my home country or can I do it from a secondary one?? Michael

Hello Michael, Actually, in Russia EFL teacher without any formal teaching qualifications still can find some job. But either it's not school with good reputation or no one is so lucky as you are. You do not have to obtain teaching certificate before thinking about a job in Russia because you can take it here. For instance, you can take CELTA courses in Moscow and then teach wherever you want in Russia. BTW, right after you got CELTA you'll be definitely offered a job. Good Luck, Rodney

I have no experiance with second languages, except a ASL (American Sign Language). I was wondering what I need to be able to do to work teaching English in a Russian school. I am thinking of moving there for a 8 months to a year. Any help would be great!! Thank you

Hello, It's ok if you have no experience. All you need to travel overseas and teach English as a second language is TEFL certificate. You can get it here in Moscow. CELTA for instance. It's enough. Besides, new graduates are welcome here www.bkc.ru/eng Good Luck!! Rodney.

Hello,
I am interested in a ADOS position. I have 3.5 years of experience as a teacher with a certificate. However, I don't have a degree. Is it necessary to have a degree in order to get a visa to work in Russia?

No, it's not necessary to have a degree. To get an ADOS job in majority of schools here is a matter of passing the interview. You previous experience and references will be taken into consideration as well.

Dear Kelly,
Thank you for your interest in our programme. To join our CELTA course you need to fill in a special application form and pass an interview with a course trainer. The application form is available on our website http://www.bkcih-moscow.com/training/celta.html#6. You can fill in the on-line form or download the form in the Word format and e-mail it to us. As soon as the trainer has checked the application form, we will contact you about a possible interview.
The course fee is 900 GBP (the deposit of 300 pounds and balance of 600 pounds).
BKC is interested in employing the successful candidates from our CELTA course, and you can apply for a job with the company after completing it.
If you have any questions, you can contact us by e-mail t-training@bkc.ru or phone (495) 234-03-14.
Best regards, Nina, Teacher Training.
